Our Senior Citizens Services
Key Benefits

Services through Division of Senior Services (DSS) also provide support
to enable people to live as independently as possible within the community setting of their choice in a non-institutional environment.

The services provide an opportunity for the family member to remain in the home as long as possible with assistance.

These services are also provided for adults with physical disabilities.

These services include but are not limited to:

1. Care Coordination —
   A person or team will work with the individual and their families to develop an appropriate service plan, to assure and monitor access to those services and will advocate for the individual and their family.


2. Daily and - or Hourly Respite —
   This allows the primary caretaker some relief while also giving the individual time to socialize with other people.


3. Tasks or Chores —
   Someone will assist with common household tasks or outdoor chores, which have become difficult or impossible due to various disabilities.


4. Environmental Modification —
   Physical adaptations to the individuals home or residence which will allow recipients to function with greater independence.


5. Transportation —
   Provides an individual with the means to gain greater freedom of access to our communities services and resources.
